iPhone 7: Apple is changing everything

Typically, every Fall, every Smartphone user is on their toes waiting for the release of the new iPhone. This year, that may not be the case.

Earlier this week there was a leak of the design for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. (or sometime known as the "Pro") In this leak there were some shocking new advances in the iPhone yet, to some it may not be very beneficial. We all know that Apple has been trying to make the iPhone thinner since the very first iPhone, now they are making some drastic measures to create a skinnier phone.

Some reports have indicated that Apple is planning on removing the headphone jack, you read that right... The headphone jack will be eliminated. In the process of making the smaller phone, Apple realized that the hardware of the phone (headphone jack, home button, etc.) is the main source of bulk in the phone. So expect to loose the home button in the future as well. "Apple is simply preparing for a radical iPhone design change in the future: the removal of the home button. By ditching the headphone jack and the home button, Apple could shrink the size of the iPhone without reducing the screen size."

When BGR analyzed the leak of the phone they stated "The schematics, found in Japanese magazine Mac Fan by local Apple site Macotakara, show what looks like a 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus featuring a dual-lens camera and Smart Connector port on the back, a single speaker on the bottom, and no headphone jack."

Skinniest Laptop EVER.

You got it right, the skinniest laptop ever was just debuted from HP on Tuesday.

This thin device is known by the name of HP Spectre. This laptop is powered by Intel Core with i5 and i7 processors. Weighing in at 2.45 pounds the Spectre has a 13.3-in Gorilla glass display along with Bang and Olufsen speakers. Providing up to 9 1/2 hours of battery life this laptop has been said to skyrocket in sales. Not only does HP claim that this is the thinnest notebook they've ever made but they also state that the Spectre is the best notebook that they have ever made.

HP "is hoping that surpassing Apple in terms of thinness will spark notebook sales," they told to website, TechNewsWorld. With the excellence of this notebook, the sleek and form factoring, this notebook could possibly compete with Apple sales. It doesn't look like any other notebook that is out there. A great balance of engineering and design was put into this laptop. The newest and greatest HP innovation will be available for preorder online on April 26 starting at $1,169.

Pizza delivery robot? Yes, Please!

That's right, pizza being delivered to your door, by a robot.

Domino's Australia, who is a independent chain from U.S Dominos, has developed a pizza delivering, self-driving robot. The company unveiled this new development on Thursday at an event in Brisbane.

DRU, also known as Domino's Robotic Unit, is the name for this four wheeled machine. DRU relies on GPS for navigation and has the capability of diverging objects that may be in the way. This delivering dynamo can reach a top speed of 12 mph. The distance of how far DRU can reach is still in the works. DRU was developed by Marathon Targets, a start up robotics training company. "We are proud to also be part of this world-first innovation in pizza-delivery technology," Marathon stated.

Don't get too excited though, DRU is only a prototype. Dominos is also known to dabble in new ways of technology to excite their customers. So for now we must wait for DRU. Until then, we can enjoy our friendly delivery men who don't mind seeing us when we look like we just got out of bed.

Need to breakup? We've got covered.

Need to breakup? We've got it covered.

As we are departing from Valentine's Day, and the season where it just makes sense to have a certain someone, we are faced with a dilemma. How do we cut off the ties and break the persons heart that we'd been spending countless hours watching Netflix and chilling with? Well, we have a solution to this problematic situation.

There are apps and websites that get people together into a relationship and now, there is a website that will even breakup with your significant other for you. Canadian brothers, Mackenzie and Evan Keast, will happily break up with your boyfriend or girlfriend for you for just a small price to pay. Ten dollars will get you a breakup text and a whopping $29 will get you a breakup phone call. Wow! What a deal! Now if you're really wanting to end things quickly, don't worry, they have a rush service for you! So now you don't have to go through the hardest part of a relationship, you can just spend that extra cash and have the Breakup Shop do it for you.

While most may think that this is insane and heartless; the brothers feel that this is just a new way to do life. "Are we the bad guys? No, we're not," article. To some millennia’s this is a new innovation that will be the next big thing, nowadays, so many young people meet online now they can breakup online. Evan Keast stated "People say boo-hoo about 'Oh, my God, I can't believe you'd have somebody break up with somebody for you.' I know there's people in marriages that have people serve papers, and they never talk to their divorcees ever again,"

The company was founded upon one of the brother’s heartbreak. Apparently, a girl "ghosted" him and he felt that there should be a end to this. So they felt that if they created a service that eliminated the actual breaking up then there would be no reason to "ghost" someone.

So if breaking up doesn't sound like a fun thing to do, lucky for you, the Breakup Brothers will cut the ties for you! Sending a text or calling someone is so hard now a day, could you imagine having to do it to someone’s face, with this new service breakups just got a lot easier!

January 1, 1970: The Date That Could Destroy Your Life...

January 1, 1970: The Date That Could Destroy Your Life...

Did you know that your iPhone, and every other iPhone out there, really despises the date January 1, 1970? So much so, that if you attempt to set your phone to this forbidden date your precious iPhone will crash. Forever.

There seems to be a bug in the newest iPhone update that could permanently damage your device. (Don't try this at home, kids) You can manually change the date and time easily in your settings. The farthest you can go back is ironically the taboo date of January 1, 1970. (Again, don't attempt to do this)

There have been a few videos created that demonstrate this insane iPhone technical difficulty, they must not love their iPhone too much, the videos show that after they change the date the iPhone works immediately until powered off and then... it's the end of that iPhone's life. The phone will power on but the only thing that appears is the white background with the glaring apple staring at you.

A February 12, 2016 article tried to figure out what was causing this strange iPhone crashing but unfortunately they came up blank. "It's not totally clear why the crash is happening. It's not at all obvious why anyone even bothered trying to set an iPhone's clock back 46 years."

Some have been able to attempt this and it not phase their phone due to time zone differences. According to a recent Reddit article Apple has been alerted of this problem and they are working on a fix.

"Being there" or being there?

"Being there" or being there?

How social media has changed our quality of life.

Have you recently opened your Instagram, Facebook or even Snapchat and felt as if you were somewhere else? You double tap because you see that the Braves just had a great game from your friend's post or maybe you feel like you're at the Taylor Swift concert singing Fifteen right along with twenty thousand others because you viewed multiple Snapchat stories. Maybe you find yourself feeling as if you were sitting right along 30-A from looking through Facebook status' that your family has posted. All of these things are posing the question to the person taking these pictures, posting these status' and sending these snaps; Are you there? or are you "there"?

Being fully present in the world that we live in is extremely difficult due to the buzzing device that is attached to our side and constantly fighting for our attention. This type of new media has changed the way that we attend events, spend time with family and even the way that we think about spending time with others. Do you notice yourself picking our your outfit with the hopes of a great picture to post on Instagram? Or maybe realize that when you're with your friends playing a fun game that you'll post a Snapchat video instead of actually being in the moment? Did you really go on that hike if you didn't take a picture and post it?

Technology and social media are a Catch 22. It can be such a great thing, having this unbelievable technology, but it can be detrimental to our lives. Our relationships are at top things that are negatively affected by this.

There isn't a right or wrong way to use social media. However we have become engulfed into this new media and way of communicating with others so that we are missing out on life. This type of media can take away from priceless moments that we spend with our friends and family and make it seem like being there isn't as important as "being there." We must learn how to moderate our use with this type with this type of new media to save our relationships and genuinely live life.
